Hillside email/worktrip update!

Greetings from the ‘lower 48’ state of Colorado once again!

The work trip was over, all too fast, but, overall successful! It is like reaching the top of the mountain only to find that the real peak was hidden until you reached the first ridge. You had enough time planned for what you knew needed to be done, but when it is complete, you realize how much more needs to be done. Praise the Lord that He has given KCAM someone to continue that trek for the near future! Roger and Connie Bovee seem to have settled in a little bit and Roger’s knowledge and expertise is being put to good use. After having three engineers pass through in such a fury of activity and planning, it is Roger that gets the clean up – please remember the Bovees in prayer as they support KCAM technically for the next 18 months or so.

The Ridge:

The primary goal for this team of four engineers (and, I might add, the rest of the KCAM staff) was to transition KCAM’s 5,000 watt transmitter, control equipment, satellite links, and other associated hardware and wiring out of the original 1960’s studio building into the newly acquired, much better insulated, and definitely more sturdy transmitter building. On Monday night, August 18th, at least one if not 2 days ahead of schedule, we took the transmitter offline at 9:15pm and about 4 and a half hours later, brought it back online in its new home. Although we did have some other moments of silence during those two weeks, this was the only one of any major length. Thank you for praying for us that it would go smoothly!

The View from the ‘almost top’:

As we worked on the many projects that needed to be done both prior to and after the moving of the transmitter there were discovery’s made that indicated some potential issues that could affect the quality and strength of the broadcast signal. Over the past 40 some years, the wear and tear on our grounding system for the tower and transmitter is taking its toll. When working with radio waves and electricity – the ‘grounding’ is a very important part of the whole system that helps to equalize, enhance and protect the tower, transmitter, and transmission. We were able to make some better, and correct, connections to the existing ground system, but the rest of the grounding screen, wires, and field will need to be replaced and worked on next summer. Thank you for praying for His will to be revealed.

Also, while there I was able to tackle a few of the issues with the studio’s that I have been unable to do anything about while on Home service. As I worked on these and saw the other things that need to be done, my heart ached because I knew that there was so little time to get them done properly. I usually pull at least one all nighter on each work trip, but this time I was feeling a little more tired than usual and had to find some time to sleep for a few hours each day (someone told me I was growing ‘mature’, no, ‘getting old’). I look forward to the day that God brings us back to the work He has called us to. Thank you for praying for wisdom and good decision making.

…And coming home:

We had the pleasure of having Grandpa Eaton, Auntie Karen, and Cousin Kyle with us for the weekend of my return and it was very nice to have them around for a few short days. Thank you for your prayers for Sarabeth and the kids while I was gone! Everyone is in fairly good health and spirits. Children grow so fast at these ages, and after being gone this time it seems that they have ‘matured’ so much in such a short time, I guess they don’t stop and wait for you to be around to watch all the time. We are looking forward to making contact with more of our Colorado partners and friends in the coming weeks and would appreciate your prayers as we travel around.

I will be putting some pictures on the web site this coming week as I collect them from the various people that had their cameras out during the work trip. Thank you for being a part of these past few weeks with your prayer for us all and please continue to ask Him to return us to the field this fall.

May you have a wonderful Sunday and an enjoyable Labor Day with friends and family!

In His service,
Scott Hill

Introducing. . .

For those of you who do not get our email updates we would like to introduce:

Caleb Scott Hill
April 21, 2008
7lb. 7oz.
21 inches
Despite our trepidation at having to give birth in a ‘big’ hospital, God blessed us with another short labor and good nurses.

Road Trip. . .

Two weeks after Caleb was born we were back on the road again. This trip included a few weeks in Colorado to once again try to connect with friends and supporters there; and then a quick trip down to Arizona to speak at a church there and to visit with Scott’s parents in their new house.

As often happens when we start traveling, both radio stations experienced problems and Scott spent the majority of his time trouble shooting these issues which limited our ability to visit with partners and share what God has been doing in Alaska. Despite this we had a good trip overall and are continuing to see our support increase – now at 76%.

A Growing Need. . .

There is urgency for our return that grows the longer we are outside Alaska. In the past few months Scott has dealt with the implementation of new hardware and software affecting our ability to receive such programs as Focus on the Family (this included programming the software to work around the lack of physical cables), parts failures in two of our repeaters and one of our main transmitters, as well as the ongoing upkeep of the computers and all the ‘little’ things that keep popping up. Needless to say it takes twice as much time to walk someone else through a technical procedure than it would for Scott to just do it himself. We need your help in getting the remainder of our support in quickly so that we can return to the field and be able to take care of the issues hands-on and begin the projects that are needed to start the radio outreach to western Alaska.

Another Work Trip. . .

As we mentioned in our last newsletter, one of the major projects needing to be completed this summer was the move of KCAM’s transmitter into a newer more energy efficient building. God has brought together the necessary parts and pieces for this to happen and Scott will be headed north August 7-23 to help with the move. Praise the Lord that 3 other engineers will be there to help during this time!

What are we up To?. . .

June and July were a very busy time for us as we wrapped up our ‘home base’ in Illinois and established a new one in Colorado. Since we would still like to touch base with so many of our Midwest friends that have yet to see us on this home service, we have decided to move over to Colorado Springs and establish it as our home base for the remainder of our time ‘outside’. Sarabeth has been busy reconnecting with friends and helping the kids adjust to a new home.

One of the blessings of our home here is the back yard which Matthew is enjoying despite the hot weather. He is also enjoying the split-level aspect of the house and jumping from the kitchen onto the big bean bag in the family room. Lydia is struggling with the concept of staying in one place for awhile and is constantly asking where we are going and wanting to make sure she is going too. Kara is busy trying to keep up with the ‘big’ kids and keeping everyone on their toes with her mood swings (did anyone say 2-year old?). Caleb has started to reach for and grasp objects we show him and is working very hard on rolling over.

Prayer…

  • Pray that we will have our full support by the end of September.
  • Pray for us all as we are apart while Scott is in Alaska.
  • Pray for a quick and smooth move of the transmitter at KCAM.
  • Pray for Sarabeth’s dad as he continues to look for a new job.

Praises & Thanksgiving…

  • Praise for reaching 76% support.
  • Praise for Caleb’s safe arrival and continued health.
  • Praise for help in getting the oil leaks and A/C on our car fixed!
  • Praise for a low cost solution to our housing need for our time in Colorado.

And THANK God for His care and grace to us.

We are looking at a limited time in our housing situation; Lord willing we will be fully supported by the end of September and will not have to arrange for new accommodations. We are sincerely grateful that you consistently share in the ministry just by reading this letter and remembering us in your prayers. Please pray and consider whether or not He would have you share your involvement with your friends, small group, or Church and may He richly bless you and you household.

In His Service,

Scott and Sarabeth

Hillside Email update - God's timing is perfect.

Greetings from Colorado!

IN THE NICK OF TIME:

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 (NASB)

Matthew, our 5 year old son, was downstairs sort of half heartedly putting away the toys in our ‘New’ temporary house in Colorado Springs; we had only been in the house for nearly 48 hours and the kids had settled into their routine of spreading out. It was bed time and all was not settled for the kids with the thought that Daddy was leaving in the morning for Utah with a car load of stuff bound for Alaska. Daddy walks downstairs and calls Matthew over to him…slowly he turns around and shuffles over. “Matthew, would you like to take the trip to Utah with me, it will be a long time in the…?” “YES! That’s OK, YES!” and the next words from him were “Mommy and my sisters will miss me…”. I told him that he needed to finish picking up the toys and then go pack some stuff…you have never seen a room clean up so quickly, he then ran upstairs and told Mommy “I am going with Daddy, I need …”. I believe he was ready to float, no, fly with excitement about taking a trip with me. I told him we would be leaving early in the morning so he would need to have everything ready to go, I didn’t know that when I got up in the morning that he would already be dressed and have his rolling backpack by his side just waiting at his bedroom door for me to come out; I have no idea just how early he got up!

Well…we were ready to head out the door when the call came early that Wednesday morning from Roger Bovee. He said that they had received word from the field late the night before that the house in which they were going to be living in Glennallen was not furnished after all. So what that meant was the room he thought he would have in their trailer was just suddenly gone because they would need to bring their furnishings and would have very little room left.

WOW! God was just in the nick of time on this one, He planned it down to the wire. Only He knew that I would terry one day longer, and at what time I was going to actually leave on the trip. There are so many permutations that I can think of that would have wasted time & resources had we not been under His Care and your prayers. Disappointed – Yes! But awed at how our Heavenly Father can show His hand at work! I was very much looking forward to seeing the Bovees and going over some of the projects he has been working on for the radio stations, so I was just a little sad that we had to cancel the trip, but what was a little hard for me was just a bit harder for Matthew. He cried for a little while and asked a lot of questions as to why, but eventually he was able to accept it, and how awesome of God to give us such a powerful way to teach our children how He is working in our lives.

WHERE ARE WE AND WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Yes! We did arrive in Colorado Springs safe and sound, but two blown trailer tires later. This area will be the final resting place for the travel trailer as the owners have asked us to try to sell it for them since they do not have need of it any longer. Also, we have not seen a single spot of dripping underneath the Suburban since we left the Lincoln Nebraska area, halleluiah! Praise God, and thanks again to Uncle Leland.

We are currently living in a house the Lord provided on the southeast side of Colorado Springs. It is ideally situated for ease of walking to the grocery store and to Best Buy, is just a hop and skip to one of our supporting churches and a hop, skip and a jump to our other supporting church (driving wise, of course). We are fairly settled in now and have already met our neighbors on either side. Matthew is very excited about having the 4 year old Noah right next door to play with.

Our task while in Colorado is to get to finally see and talk to all the friends and partners we have not been able to get together with on our previous journeys through Colorado, to spend more time with our supporting churches, and to discover the rest of the partners God has called to join in this particular ministry. We will be trying to contact many partners this next week, but always appreciate suggestions as to when we can get together.

PRAYER AND PRAISE:

  • As of Friday this week, we are at 75% of our needed monthly pledges. Praise the Lord, His timing is perfect and we will be just as excited as Matthew was when we are told that we can join our Heavenly Father on another trip to Alaska.

  • Please pray about a work trip that it looks like Scott will be taking to Alaska in August to work on helping move KCAM’s Transmitter into a new building. Ask God for wisdom in the decisions that need to be made for the timing of this trip, the length of the trip and that everything that is needed would be put in place on time.

  • In about a week and a half, the Alaska field will have their annual meeting in Glennallen…please pray that it would be a refreshing time for all, that business would be taken care of with wisdom and diligence, and for safe travel to and from Glennallen for all the missionaries scattered throughout Alaska and western Canada.

  • Please pray for a smooth transition for the new Alaska Area Director as the ‘baton’ is handed over to him. Also, for the current Alaska Area Director as he and his family move to SEND HQ in Michigan to serve as the new U.S. Director.

Thank you again for your faithful sharing and partnership with the Lord’s work in Alaska. It has been great to hear from several of you and know how you and your families are doing, drop an email when you can.

In His hand and service,
Scott Hill
for Sarabeth (a gracious mommy with a full plate), Matthew (who you already heard about), Lydia (who misses grandma in Illinois very much), Kara (who is traversing the terrible two years from 1 to 3 very cutely and was able to celebrate her 2nd birthday 3 times last week), and Caleb (3 Months old on Monday and already having traveled more than 5500 miles)

P.S. I hope to actually update the web page this week as well with some pictures. If you are interested, keep checking.

Hillside Email update

Summer Greetings!

Ephesians 6:16 “With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,…”

We know that as we completed our late spring travel arriving safe and sound back in Illinois that you had been praying for us as the verse above describes. We drove over 4000 miles and remained in relatively good health, had very few vehicle problems, and had an absolutely wonderful time visiting and sharing the ministry with friends and family.

Our last email update found us in Colorado Springs where we were able to give a report to two of our supporting churches and share some time with a few partners, but not as many as we had hoped. Since we would like to still touch base with so many of our Midwest friends that have yet to see us on this home service, we have decided to move over to Colorado Springs and establish it as our home base for the remainder of our time “outside”. Praise the Lord with us that He has provided a low cost solution to our housing need for our time there. We will be arriving back in Colorado Springs this next week.

June (and now July) has been a very busy time for us as we have wrapped up our ‘home base’ in Illinois and will establish a new one in Colorado. There have been many issues that needed technical assistance at both of the radio stations; both during our spring travels, while we were in Carol Stream, and now again while traveling to Colorado:

  • The ‘new technology’ of a satellite receiver (for getting programs from two of our major providers) that was being installed was completed a week ago Saturday and it will still need a few tweaks in the coming weeks as we discover how it fully integrates into our equipment and programming.

  • Our Wrangell translator (repeater) in Southeast Alaska was only just brought back online two Friday’s ago as Scott talked our new Sales guy through the installation, Praise the Lord!

  • During this same time our translator in Haines began having an issue.  After about a week of troubleshooting, God provided a man in the community that has many years experience in Electrical Engineering to help out and fix the problem.

  • Also, we were experiencing some “off air” situations with our AM transmitters at KRSA; the solution has been discovered and should be implemented this coming week.

We have made an extended stopover in Nebraska at Sarabeth’s grandparent’s farm since we had an offer of help from Sarabeth’s Mechanic Uncle to do some work on the car. Praise the Lord that the oil leaks are fixed and the A/C is back in working order. Thank you Uncle Leland.

Lord willing we will be arriving in Colorado Springs on Monday of this next week and getting settled in for a day before Scott takes a quick trip over to Utah to drop off some equipment he picked up for the radio stations in Chicago as well as some of our personal stuff to send back to Alaska with the Bovee’s as they are headed up at the end of July. The Bovee’s are coming up to help with the engineering side of broadcasting for a little while and we are looking forward to getting back up there to be able to work with them in this endeavor.

We are currently at 74% monthly support and need your continued prayer to help in getting the remainder in quickly so that we can return to the field and be able to take care of the stations properly and begin the projects that are needed to get the outreach to western Alaska going. We are looking at a limited time (about 3 months) in the housing situation and then we will have to figure it out all over again if we do not have the full support needed at that time.

Thank you for faithfully supporting the broadcast ministries of SEND in Alaska, for praying for us daily, and sharing the Good News with everyone God places in your lives. As always, we love to hear from you!

In His service,
Scott and Sarabeth and family

Hillside Email update

This email update finds the Hill family ‘6’ now in Colorado Springs, CO!

Caleb Scott Hill turned 3 weeks old today and he is doing very well, he even traveled well. Something new for us with our baby experience is the fact that Caleb seems to know exactly when 3 o’clock rolls around…for no particular reason other than the time of day, he begins to wail…strange!? Since both Sarabeth and Caleb were doing so well after one week of recovery, we decided to bring the whole family on this trip to Colorado.

A good friend, Jerry Hoepner, was married this past Saturday and we had the privilege of attending the outdoor wedding on a sunny Colorado evening, with a cool wind blowing. It was a very nice ceremony and we had a delicious meal at the reception, but the best part is that Jerry and Melissa had a wonderful start in their life partnership and we hope you will join us in praying for them as they settle in to life together.

We have enjoyed being able to see so many of our Colorado Partners already at the wedding and on Sunday morning at Faith E-Free church. We are hoping that we will have time to visit with many others while we are here, especially those that we missed during our first time through a year and a half ago when we began our Home Service. Our prayer is that God would help us to wrap up our Home service and support discovery by the end of this trip, since we have made it full circle and around the U.S. We are lacking only 28% of full support in faith pledges and we know that God can bring it all together soon.

As we traveled over to the Springs, Scott spent some time on the cell phone working out some details with both stations regarding some new technology that is needing to be installed, as well as talking our NLN president through some trouble shooting of our Wrangell translator(repeater) for KRSA that has been down for almost a month due to the lack of technical expertise to go there and work on it. There is an urgency that underlies this final time outside Alaska, as there are many projects at both stations that are going to need a hands on approach and are needing to be done soon, but as always we want to wait on the Lord as He works out the details.

We will be in Colorado for about 2 weeks (3 Sundays) and then hope to head to Arizona and back to Illinois after that. We appreciate your faithfulness in praying for us in our travels and support needs as well as remembering the ministry of broadcasting in Alaska. We have enjoyed all the encouragement we have had from so many of you during these days of Caleb’s birth and we pray that God would return the favor and encourage and bless you our partners in the Great Commission.

In His service,
Scott and Sarabeth Hill
Matthew, Lydia, Kara, and Caleb

PS. Please pray that God would move on the hearts of those He has called to become financial partners to act soon. Thank you

"Why We Do..."

Many of you have heard us say that in Christian Radio we seldom hear about how God is using radio to change lives. We wanted to share with you a recent note we had from a lady in the listening community of KCAM:

"I am flying high today...Last night a woman from the community came over to talk. She is an unbeliever and had heard part of our pastor’s Sunday morning message on the radio a couple of Sundays ago and she was VERY UPSET at what he had said. This opened the door to discuss more biblical teaching on a recurring basis!"

How exciting it is for us when we hear from those that listen to the broadcasts. Knowing that the work we have been called to do is allowing the gospel to reach the hearts of the lost and encourage believers to be bold in their witness. This is the result of the PARTNERSHIP to which God has called you and us! Thank you!

"What We Do..."

There are so many technical and engineering projects that are being planned right now to be done upon our return to the field. Maintaining basic operation of the stations is just a part of the full time job to which we are called.

We currently have two FM station applications that are almost through the approval process by the FCC; once the details are worked out we will need to begin the installations.

The old studios in Glennallen are sinking more into the tundra and there are plans to move the AM transmitter out of that very old building to a newer, more efficient one by the end of August 2008.

I will post more projects on our website so that you can see what to pray for specifically – but WE need to get back to Alaska to do them!

"How We Do It..."

God is on the move! After a time of waiting and wondering, we have seen significant movement in the raising of additional funds to return to the field. As you can see in the middle column, we have reached 70% of our total needed monthly pledges. He has already raised our outgoing expense amount, so we are looking specifically for those that God is calling to commit to a FAITH PROMISE – ‘as God supplies, we will be faithful to sponsor this ministry on a regular basis.’ Please pray for this need!

"What We Are Up To...?"

Sarabeth walks into the room while Scott is working on the front page of this letter and says “how does Monday at 6 AM sound?” Scott says “did you already say yes?” Well, it might be a little before the due date but since it is a scheduled induction and this is when Sarabeth’s doctor is available, Monday the 21st of April it is! You will probably be reading this post partum, but we appreciate your prayer for a safe and smooth delivery of our 4th baby.

When asked if he was ready to meet his baby brother on Monday Matthew gave a resounding ‘Yes!’ He has been asking for several weeks now if it was time yet. While Lydia doesn’t fully understand what a new baby means, she is eager to hold the baby and likes to pat Mommy’s tummy. She is also looking forward to having Mommy’s lap once again available for snuggling. Kara of course just gives us blank stares when we ask her about being a big sister. She has developed quite an attachment to Grandma that will hopefully make things go more smoothly these next few weeks.

On another note the oil has been leaking more from our vehicle recently and when we had it diagnosed this week we found out that it was losing oil from many “points of interest” and it was estimated at $1100 for the repair. We appreciate your prayer for Scott as he tackles these issues in the coming weeks.

"Work Trip"

After spending many hours in December and January researching equipment and placing orders, Scott was on his way for an extended work trip to deal with issues at both KCAM and KRSA. Even with all the technology and connectivity that God has graciously supplied to the Northern Light Network, there are still things that cannot be done via telephone and internet. As God is still leading us to wait on Him for our financial support to come in, it was decided that a work trip was in order. Scott spent a good 8 days at each station addressing technical issues that needed a hands-on approach. This was a difficult work trip for Scott – seeing all that needs to be done and knowing the impossibility of doing it all in the few short days he had there. Please see our email updates under the News on our website for more details on this trip.

"Wrap up 2007"

NEW Year Greetings, 2007 was a good year for us as we traveled around the U.S. and visited many of our supporters, friends, and family. Praise God for His provision of safety, security, and guidance as we traveled through 34 of the lower 48 states and Washington D.C. (Thus far our Home Service travels have taken us to every state except Vermont and Hawaii since October 2006). Thank God with us for the many opportunities that He gave us to share what He is doing through the radio ministries of SEND of Alaska; thank Him for the friendships and warm hospitality we experienced as we testified to His work; and praise Him for maintaining the partnerships in the ministry financially and spiritually, so that we could continue Home Service and technical support of the stations even in our absence.

"And Into 2008"

“When will God let us go home to Alaska?” Though we have thought this many times, it was Matthew who voiced this thought recently. As we enter this New Year our hearts are longing to return to the field so that we can continue the ministry directly and effectively. Please pray that God would rapidly deploy us with full support and fellowship as we have been faithful to testify to all and share the ministry with those He has called as partners in the work. Our goal is to be returning to Alaska by the beginning of June; as soon as Sarabeth and the baby are ready to travel. There are many projects that are being planned for this summer and it would be much easier if we were already in Alaska to help with these than to try to arrange another work trip or do it over the phone and internet.

"Family Update"

Kara is a very energetic little girl that keeps us on our toes. She has definitely entered the ‘terrible twos’ which Scott defines as the 2 years between 1 and 3, and is constantly testing her boundaries and questioning whether we mean what we say. She is learning new words every day and loves to color (no more markers after she sucked the purple one dry).

Kids in their Christmas clothes!Kids in the Christmas clothes they recieved!

Lydia is eagerly awaiting the day when she can do the ‘big kid’ things her brother does. The highlights of her week include ‘church day’ when she gets to go to Sunday School and the occasional trip to the play land at the mall. (“Eat? Yes, eat at mall?”)

Matthew has finished the speech class he has been taking through the school district here. He has greatly enjoyed going to ‘school’ and the wall next to his bed is covered with his artwork. Keeping his 5-year old mind occupied so that he is not pestering his sisters out of boredom is a challenge, but doing some ‘Kindergarten’ helps.

Sarabeth is into the third trimester and is looking forward to the day she can move about freely again. Still being on home service puts a real damper on the nesting instinct; especially when thinking about all the baby stuff packed in boxes back in Petersburg.

"Prayer & Praise"

Please see our Prayer page for this part of the update!

As always we would love to hear from you. Thank you so much for sharing in the ministry just by reading this letter and remembering us before our Heavenly Father.

February 3, 2008
Greetings from Alaska!

“Honey, I’m Home!”  Well, it kind of had a dull ring to it since I was here in Petersburg, but Sarabeth and the kids were down in Illinois.  It has been a great pleasure to be able to be here in Alaska once again if even for a short time.  If there is anything new that I have discovered on this trip is that you only have to leave Alaska for a short time to be able to enjoy its people and beautiful scenery all over again or in a very new way.

The awesome scenery was there out the window of the plane as we left Juneau… you could see for miles the majestic snow covered mountain peaks that reached all the way down to the ocean; and to see the rich deep blue of the glaciers that fill these mountains in ‘warm’ sunlight, even in the middle of winter.  The sense of hearing was awakened again especially hearing the sound of TRUE silence in the middle of a star filled, negative temperature, ‘squeaky snow’ night in Glennallen.  Oh, and the ‘smell’ of snow, you know…when there isn’t any smog, exhaust, etc... around and just fresh cold air.

The temperatures in Glennallen ranged from 34 above to 43 below while we worked out the issues at KCAM.  Praise the Lord for your consistent and fervent prayer for me and the Bovees during our first 8 days of this work trip.  We saw many of the projects through there – at least the most urgent- with only a few frustrations and setbacks.  Our primary issue that we worked on was a new satellite receiver for the station to pick up their Paul Harvey programs from and separating that from their news feed receiver for Fox.  There were many times before that they did not have the news feed available due to some issues with switching so often on a single receiver.  There were several other high priority tasks that we were able to complete, but I had to be forced to leave because I didn’t want to stop working on so many other things that are yet to be done.  KCAM needs a permanent engineering staff, please pray for this.  It was a good week in Glennallen and it was so good to see so many friends there and in Anchorage too.

We are half way through our time here in Petersburg already!  I hit the ground running when we flew in…I usually like to stop into the station and familiarize myself with everything again, kinda like saying hi to an old friend, but I ended up staying very late as I began to dig into the issues that we need to address.  Almost like I picked up where I left off in Glennallen…it is just so hard to stop sometimes.  By the end of the second day our highest priority project was already half way done and today, Saturday, we have it 99% complete with just a few loose ends.  Praise the Lord that this wireless network connection has gone in so smoothly and that we will be able to remote control our transmitter again and with more than just the cell phones.  The hardest part about this project was trudging through the snowy muskeg several times to install the equipment and 1200 feet of fiber optic cable at the end of our antennae field.  Also, thank Him for sending the Bovees up to help, it would not have happened quite as fast without Roger here.  KRSA needs a permanent engineering staff, please remember this in your prayer to send us back and to send more workers into the Harvest.

Sarabeth and the kids have had colds recently, but they seem to be getting over it slowly but surely.  I am grateful for the technology of Skype and the web camera to be able to see my family and be seen by them.  We have been able to keep in touch this way and I think that it has made it ever so slightly easier for them while I am up here.

I am thankful that I will be able to worship with our church here in Petersburg in the morning, but our time will quickly be over and there are several other projects on the list so please remember us when you pray.  Thank you again for sharing in this ministry with your prayers and support.  Thank you to those that helped us out along the way on this work trip with places to stay, food to eat, and great times of  fellowship, we look forward to seeing you again soon. I hope you enjoy a wonderful day of Fellowship in worshiping our Lord.

In His service,
