April Note

April 6, 2014 - Author: Scott Hill

Greetings & Hello!

Discipleship! We hosted a disciple making conference here at the Community Bible Church on our WIM campus on the first weekend in April. This is one of our main Mission goals and values as we see so much of the evangelism happening without any kind of follow up to help new believers in understanding basic truths of the Bible and how to walk with The Lord which would enable them to go and make more disciples. Our desire is to see Navajo pastors raised up from these believers as they grow and mature.

Wilfred is a believer because he heard the message of Good News on the air from our KTBA Tuba City radio station. He had the opportunity to visit with us recently and share his testimony on the air as he came over with a work team from Indian Bible College, Flagstaff. He is 40 something and will be graduating this year from IBC and is desiring to minister on the Rez back in the Tuba City area. He also is interested in helping out the Radio outreach through KTBA, please pray for him –that God would make clear His will for Wilfred.

Praise the Lord with us for what we received recently…..a generous gift toward our Dorm Remodel project that has almost fully funded it. Pray now that God would send the workers and guide us to the right materials so that we can be good stewards with what He has given us. Thank you for your support and prayers for the Hill Family in New Mexico!

In His service,
Scott and Sarabeth Hill

March Note

March 18, 2014 - Author: Scott Hill

Greetings from the front-lines!

As in any war there are many areas of duty to be served in and it takes many individuals to fill those positions and keep the front lines moving forward winning one battle at time as the army follows their commander because He is the one that knows the plans and issues the orders.  We have felt that this well describes the theater or field that we have been called to.  There are days that the battle against the spiritual unseen forces that work against our Lord and Father God are targeting a bombardment at this little fort in Tse Bonito.  As Scott is filling in for several positions in this battalion we are reassured by the knowledge that we are not in this alone, but He has called you to be a part of our supply line, thank you for putting on the armor and joining us in the fight with prayer, support, and encouragement.

Keep up the Prayer for this summer as this week (3/17) we have our first work crew here to begin work on several simultaneous projects that require someone to keep track of progress and guide in proper procedure and techniques.  Our greatest need is to solidify building plans for the remodel of one of our oldest buildings into a Dorm facility and Retreat/Conference/Christian educational center.  We still need to acquire a 44ft. or equivalent steel I-Beam (It is harder than you would think).  We will also need more funds to see this project through to completion.

The Battle Belongs to The Lord!  Fight the Good Fight.

In His service,

Scott and Sarabeth Hill

February Note

February 9, 2014 - Author: Scott Hill

Greetings and Salutations!

I do not know how to say it enough or how to express how really grateful we are to have you all as Partners in this calling, but Thank YOU again for your Love of God and sharing with us from what Our Lord has given to you.

Benjamin Daniel recently celebrated his Third birthday and as I was mulling it over I suddenly realized that we have been here with Western Indian Ministries for a full Three years already.  Sarabeth mentioned how fast the years seem to have passed, but how long the days seem to have taken.  It is true: our days are very full of all that God is doing with us as we look forward to serving Him each second of the day.

Please pray for Scott (for wisdom, persistence, and joy), the tyranny of urgent sometimes hinders his generous spirit and he over commits and is delayed in his ability to help others, especially in the area that he does enjoy greatly, that is, working on others computers for them. Also, please pray for new partners in the ministry in meeting the financial need for our family, we are running about $1500/month short in support.  As a financial partner, you know already how much easier it is to meet the need when many people join in the calling.

May you feel God’s blessing as you continue to bless us and His ministry here in Tse Bonito, NM!

In His service,

Scott and Sarabeth Hill

Prayer Concerns heavy on our hearts

January 8, 2014 - Author: Scott Hill

New Year Greetings!  We are so glad to have you alongside us in this ministry.  First of all a Praise to Our Lord, Gabriel Nicholas is now 3 weeks old and our first checkup appointment with the Doctor was very encouraging – he is growing and progressing basically right down the middle of normal.

Second, please pray for Scott’s Dad as he begins a round of microwave treatments on an acoustic neuroma in his ear this January 9th.  He lost the hearing in the ear this past summer and the MRI this last Fall revealed the tumor.  They have opted to use this method of treatment since the tumor is so close to the Brain.

Thirdly, please pray for the mission’s accountant and bookkeeper as they are still reorganizing the mission’s finances to work better and smoother to adapt to all the changes that God is guiding us through.  Please pray for wisdom for Scott as he oversees this process for the mission and advises the General Director in making some tough decisions.

Lastly, please remember Hilltop Christian School in prayer as they work toward setting up the next school year re-opening.  They will need 5 new teachers and at least 100 or so students to enroll to make it happen and we believe that God is leading in that direction.

Thank you again for partnering in the work of Western Indian Ministries and our family.

In His service,

Scott and Sarabeth Hill
